Hi guys
I have the weirdest of problems...
I have installed 1.6.1(and now lately 1.6.0) of my trusty 7300/200 box=20=

with 196 MB memory, ), 9Gb Seagate ST39140N disk...
For a long time I could not the system to compile on 1.6.1... after=20
some time of compilation(various packages from the "pkgsrc"=20
tree:apache, postgresql etc..). I finally gave up thinking there had to=20=

be something wrong with the CD or the version of the ISO-image that I=20
had burned ) ...
Now I have installed 1.6.0 (from a CD where I have very good experience=20=

on other systems) and the system behaves in the exact same manner....
Compiling for instance postgresql goes through it's motions(initially=20
it ran our tmp space on the root partition; no worries, made a soft=20
link to the /usr partition which has some 7GB of free space) ... the=20
system compile and compile, and after a while the system just hangs...
I am somewhat at a loss here... no discernible dumps/panics or the=20
like... just hangs!
By the way it is actually the "cc1" program thats running at the time=20
when the 7200 system comes to a standstill....

Any ideas anyone ?????

mvh/kind regards
