i don't have XServe, just guessing - is OpenFirmware in XServe able
to deal with MBR partitioning (just like i386)? if so
- have small MS-DOS partition with ofwboot
- format the rest as NetBSD
would work. OpenBSD does this (installer lets me select "HFS
partitioning" and "MBR partitioning") and is working well on my
iBook 2002.
