FYI, the XFree86 server [cvs -d anoncvs@anoncvs.netbsd.org:/cvs co xc]
as of a few days ago works on my 867 Mhz TiBook - just change
RADEON_MMIOSIZE to 0x10000 in
xc/programs/Xserver/hw/xfree86/drivers/ati/radeon.h .
The wsdisplay is not properly restored when stopping the X server,
but Allen's patches for that to xsrc/xfree can probably be brought
forward to fix that.
I have also put a kernel that just happens to work on 4.5.3f2
firmware with the OpenBSD ofwboot despite the loading/allocation
problems in ftp://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD/misc/soren/macppc/ .
