Hi Daniel,

ipv4 / ipv6 has nothing to do with the ethernet hardware, it is all  
software.

mc(4) is generally known not to work very well (if at all). You should  
try to get a cheap PCI network interface card (e.g. the Netgear FA-311  
is rather cheap, and works). Check
