Well, this could be easier... I built the X server which complained about a
library mismatch. So, I rebuilt the entire X tree (this is not mac68k,
right? ;) and installed it. Of all programs, xterm does not build:

[...]
making all in programs/xterm...
rm -f main.o
gcc -c -O2 -ansi -Dasm=__asm -fsigned-char -I../..
-I../../exports/include -D
CSRG_BASED -DFUNCPROTO=15 -DNARROWPROTO -I. -DSCROLLBAR_RIGHT
-DOPT_WIDE_CHAR
S -DXRENDERFONT -DUTMP -DUSE_TTY_GROUP
-DOSMAJORVERSION=1
          -DOSMINORVERSION=6 main.c
main.c: In function `spawn':
main.c:3757: structure has no member named `ll_tv'
main.c:3761: warning: passing arg 2 of `updlastlogx' makes pointer from
integer wit
hout a cast
main.c:3761: too many arguments to function `updlastlogx'
*** Error code 1

Stop.
make: stopped in /usr/src/xsrc/xfree/xc/programs/xterm

The X server then dies with

[...]
(II) LoadModule: "RADEON"
(WW) Warning, couldn't open module RADEON
(II) UnloadModule: "RADEON"
(EE) Failed to load module "RADEON" (module does not exist, 0)
(II) LoadModule: "mouse"

        Module class: XFree86 XInput Driver
ABI class: XFree86 XInput driver, version 0.3
(EE) No drivers available.
