I use Toast (3.5.something) specify ISO as the format, and go into 
the format options and turn off all the extras.  I also change the 
filenames to something that fits in the 8.3 format in upper case.

This works for OF 1.0.5, but not for OF 3.  Not sure about OF 2.x.
