Thanks Kevin, but still no-go!

I've tried this, and it still freezes. This is on a fresh power-on as well.

Open Firmware, 2.0
To continue booting the MacOS type:
BYE<return>
To continue booting from the default boot device type:
BOOT<return>
 ok

As to what I said yesterday, it begins booting off a disk, but comes up with
the following:

>> NetBSD/macppc OpenFirmware Boot, Revision 1.6
>> (grant@mofo, Sun Jul 7 01:42:15 EST 2002)
3872820READ TIMEOUT@READ TIMEOUT@READ TIMEOUT@READ TIMEOUT@READ TIMEOUT@READ
TIM
EOUT@READ TIMEOUT@READ TIMEOUT@READ TIMEOUT@read text: Input/output error

This isnt the disk drives fault as well, as disks under MacOS function
correctly, and I have made three sets of disks to test it out (all from
a brand new pack, and I formatted them before dd).

This isnt looking good :\

james

(BTW, there is one very weird thing that happens. If I have left it frozen
at the " scsi-int"... prompt, and I pull the power out, the
computer suddenly displays 'Target 3' on the console. Very weird.)
