Hi all...

I've got a Performa 6400/180 that I would like to put NetBSD on,
however, it doesn't have MacOS installed. This system defaults to ttya
as the serial console port, however this is taken by the internal modem.
This means that I need to boot into MacOS and use boot-vars (System
Disk doesn't support this machine) to set the console to ttyb. I've
tried several different boot floppies, and it reads them then ejects
them, as far as I can tell it doesn't think they're bootable.

This system is my only PowerMac, so I'm writing the images on a 68K
machine (Mac Quadra 660AV), if that would make a difference. The Quadra
can boot off the floppies (either booting fully, or enough to tell me
that it's a PowerPC only floppy, depending on which floppy image I use),
so the disks aren't bad or anything.

Any ideas of things to try?

thanks for your help
