OK, glutton for punishment that I am, I am trying to get 1.5.3RC2
installed. I have confirmed that I am not trying to install any X
related stuff. Editing the path seems to be the real problem. I
find that the installer just seems to hang. Experience has shown
if I wait, it comes back, but it's hard to have faith somehow.
