I had the same problem until some helpful soul on the mailing list told
me to set the boot-device environment variable. I was skeptical, but it
worked. Unfortunately, the wife made me reinstall MacOS when she bought
a camcorder, so I can't tell you precisely what I set it to; you should,
however, be able to find the traffic in the list archives. NetBSD has
been relegated to the Jaz drive until I can get a much bigger hard disk.
