7500 is as old as they come, it's OpenFirmware 1.0.5.

You should set real-base to F00000 and load-base to 600000.

Not sure which you meant by "virt-base".

Setting real-base is what will fix the "halt after loading" problem.
(It's actually halting while still loading; it wrote over an
important part of OF, as the real-base is set to 4000 by default.)
