Last I heard, Matt Thomas tried the -current patch for the 4.1.8 BootROM on
a 1.5.1 kernel, and it didn't work.

I'm not sure if anyone has pursued this, but it'd be great if this patch
made it into the next release (hint hint).

-current is just fine, as long as you either a) use an older IDE driver or
b) wait for Manuel to finish working out the bugs in the current IDE driver.
