I did uncomment the

tlp at pci*
options TLP_MATCH_21142
tlphy at mii? phy?

lines in the kernel config

at boot time (...after compiling & installing the new kernel of course...)
the device seems to be recognise as 21143.

but there is a message like

OUI: cannot configure MII (something like that)

and I have a kernel panic a few times later (still at boot time)

        panic : tlp_2114x_preinit: no IFM_AUTO
stopped in pid 73(ifconfig) at cpu_Debugger

Maybe(I'm pretty sure...) I missed something in the kernel config file ?
are there some other MII or PHY stuff I forgot to set in the kernel config
file ?
