Hi again,

after tinkering around with an 8600 for so long, I finally got it
to install on a scsi disk, attached to an ncr* device.

With Mark's suggestion I also looked for an updated firmware
patch, which let me boot from it! hurray!

so I have the _BETA2 snapshot (how is this possible? my /usr/src
only says _BETA with nightly sups) and this machine is still
unseasy about writing to the disk. These disk are stock standard
- Apple proven - Seagate's. here is a panic anda trace.
