With what ofwboot does to the partition number in the OF device 
specification I'm not sure that it's possible to do this.

Has anyone set up a CD-ROM or a floppy to load ofwboot and then used 
that to load a kernel from a regular hard disk?  If so how did you do 
it?  What OF variables did you set to what?

If I understand what's going on ofwboot understands the filesystem 
types, but it depends on Open Firmware to understand the partition 
map.  Is this true?
