In case this gives anyone any more clues....

I manage to get further on my G4 if I go...

boot hd:netbsd

from the OF prompt.

I've tried using the netbsd.GENERIC.gz, the kern.tgz and netbsd.ram.gz files
from the BETA2 directories (unzipped on OS X and copied back as binary) as
the 'netbsd' file, but each time I get asked for the root and dump devices.

If I answer 'cd0a' and 'cd0b' and 'cd9660', I get the same error,

warning: no /dev/console
init: not found

etc.

I assume from past messages that some of you have managed to install onto
G4s.... *how* was it done...?
