has anyone tried using "Stealth Serial Port" from geethree.com
as a serial console for macppc?  

the product is a small daughter card that replaces the built-in 
modem (e.g. on a G4) and replaces the RJ-11 modem jack with... 
an apple style 8 pin mini DIN (ugh).
