Hi,
I installed 1.42 on a '98 Powerbook G3 266's internal hard drive but I simply
can't make it boot. I'm guessing that I have to boot into Open Firmware (I
have version 2.01) and then enter some commands?
I'd rather not have to reinstall mac os to set the OF settings.
Anyway, is the bootxx app and the ofwboot.xcf automatically installed during
the NetBSD install? If not, then how do I boot into ofwboot.xcf? And then how
do I direct it to the kernel? In fact, where is the kernel on NetBSD kept? In
the other *nix-like OS's I've used, BootX read the kernel from Mac OS's Sytem
Folder. But with OF, I have no idea. I've read the Tutorial on OF, and the
FAQ's, many times. I've tried about 100 different things, but nothing seems to
make it boot. Can someone please walk me through this final stage? I'd be most
grateful.
Thanks,
Jeff
