well after the 8th or so time or trying to boot (after trying 1.4.2
amongst other things) 1.5ALPHA2 loaded and got itself thru the entire
boot and install process.

i am back at the beginning it seems tho, because (even with system
disk nvram patches) nothing seems to want to get this machine to
boot from the hdd.

something really needs to be written about this OF booting stuff. i
have encountered problems every time i try and boot from an IDE disc.
i cant expand upon the documentation much at all, apart from maybe
doing a step by step guide..

is it at all possible to get a little script to modify the nvram from
within the sysinst app? so on next reboot the nvram will be pointing
to wherever /dev/wd0* is, within the OF? is the (can the) install
image even aware of OF and that stuff? i just see MacOS apps to do
it, i think why not from the unix side?

maybe something that passes the boot from fd:0 to the correct device even?

just thoughts,
as i go insane, typing out this OF stuff, for the 40th time in a row it seems.
