Do you have everything setup up in your /etc/hosts file or DNS if you're 
running local DNS?  I seem to recall a parameter in Samba which referred 
to doing Wins LAN name lookups via DNS.

I've successfully run Samba on mac68k and sparc, but in both cases I have 
a local DNS running.
