Even if you don't have the video driver that Chris mentions, I'll bet
there are some OF patches in System Disk that will help with your SCSI
problems.

Actually, this is a good point. Apple has a 8.1 Disk Tools disk, which
has a minimal System Folder. You might be able to use this.
