Because this is not the success story :-(, I am sending to the
list, sorry if you feel noisy...

Hi, Tod, thanks for working macppc port also, great work.
I have installed on
StarMax 3000/240 (PPC 603e/240MHz), which usually runs 1.4-R
(snapshot/20000205 version).
internal: wd0, IDE NetBSD/macppc -1.4R ( +wdc1 corrections )
external: sd0, SCSI NetBSD/macppc -1.4.2
network card:
ne0 at pci0 dev 13 function 0: VIA Technologies VT86C926
booting at installation
> boot fd:0
installation media:
nfs server on the same subnet
booting after installation
> boot scsi/sd@0:0
I had run upto X11, twm, xdm: great.
One thing curious to me, although the same thing happens with 1.4-R,
is that I had to type sd0 (or wd0) at following kernel message.
Mar 4 21:26:07 harry /netbsd: boot device: <unknown>
Mar 4 21:26:07 harry /netbsd: root device: sd0
Mar 4 21:26:07 harry /netbsd: dump device (default sd0b):
Mar 4 21:26:07 harry /netbsd: file system (default generic):
Mar 4 21:26:07 harry /netbsd: root on sd0a dumps on sd0b
Mar 4 21:26:07 harry /netbsd: sd0: NetBSD disklabel
Mar 4 21:26:07 harry /netbsd: root file system type: ffs
Mar 4 21:26:02 harry savecore: no core dump
Mar 4 21:27:22 harry halt: halted by root
Time zone above is not local, it was arround 14:26 here.
