My attempt to make 1.4.2_ALPHA go on a PowerMac 8500/150 has so far
resulted in:
DEFAULT CATCH!, code=FFF00600
after suntar sucessfully put boot.fs onto a floppy and I told OFW to
"boot fd:0". I'm going to keep going backwards until I find one that
works.
However, I want to say that our installation documentation for this
port is completely unacceptable. It is spread all over the place, and
it takes perseverence to find all the information need to make NetBSD
work. We have the potential here to have the second most widely used
NetBSD port after i386, if we just get our act together. My attempt
to make an 8500 go is in part to lend my efforts to that goal; it's
gonna be a build system when I'm done.
We've got a ways to go, though.
somewhat frustrated,
