"LOAD-SIZE too small" is Open Firmware's generic useless booting error
message.

":0" means the raw partition, which is not what you want if this is a
mac-formatted disk.

You can figure out what partition is the HFS partition by checking the
boot-device or boot-file or something like that variable. ("printenv"
will show you all of the variables, you'll be able to figure out which
one you want). On my machine, it's 5.

Well, once you manage to get OF to boot a kernel, it's not likely to
actually work...
