Aha, someone with the same problem I get.

For me, current is busted in some way from mid-June to present, although
I did get one fluke of a good boot last week. I managed to do most of a
make build before it started to flake on me.

Lennart has borrowed an iMac to work on the USB issues. Wish him luck.
