If I comment out the call to ukbd_enable() in USB_ATTACH(ukbd) in
ukbd.c, and turn on xdm in /etc/rc.conf, X starts up happily. (I
assume the ukbd.c change breaks the console though, although I haven't
actually tried booting with xdm=NO.
