mac68k is one of the weirdest NetBSD ports in terms of
install/booting. The macppc port is much more "normal".
NetBSD/macppc doesn't rely on MacOS in the same way NetBSD/mac68k
does. You boot it from Open Firmware (a low-level command-line
interface to the Power Mac hardware) and install from within NetBSD,
after booting from floppy or the network.
The "FAQ" and "Install notes" links off
http://www.netbsd.org/Ports/macppc/ will give you more information.
