ok, I booted the install kernel on my iMac Rev A (233MHz) from
ftp://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD/NetBSD-1.4/macppc/binary/kernel/netbsd-GENERIC_MD.gz

everything goes fine, I get into the shell prompt, and then when
`ifconfig bm0 192.168.1.2' is invoked, it just crashes completely.  I
have also tried adding "netmask 255.255.255.0" etc etc...still no luck.

What am I doing wrong?
