I am still reproducing the problem, which
booting hangs at probing wdc1, on the snapshot 19990620.
I have just send-pr'ed the problem.

The same code works fine if it is on SCSI drive.
York, can you find extra scsi drive to install ? It should work.

I am also trying to configure no-wdc1 kernels, but config 
(at 19990620 snapshot) does not like the src/sys.tar.gz at
-current one.

and again, I am failing to get 19990620 equivalent kernel src or
config which matches to the -current sys. (Anoncvs rejects my
login). Am I doing wrong ?
