Just wanted to say that graphics can get much faster with support for 16 shades of grey or 16/256 colors on external display.
If you enable options GENFB_SHADOWFB graphics get a lot faster on PowerBooks at the expense of a little memory.
Also if you set 16 colors in the monitors control panel before running the booter, NetBSD will have 16 colors on the text terminal and tinyx will work at 16 shades of gray.
There is also a new option I added a week or so ago "options EMULFKEYS"
If enabled emulates function keys by pressing option and 1-8 that can be used for vt-term switching if extra entries/gettys are added to /etc/ttys and /etc/wscons.conf.
I now have my powerbook with 4 VTs and it works great (it is possible though memory is too tight on these machines to run a separate instance on tinyX on each virtual terminal).
