Hauke's SE/30 is working now ! Good news for us. :)

 >(450 KByte/sec, it said, but discount the slow clock of mac68k),

Yes.
I have some data with true time by SEIKO sports timer when
ftp get NetBSD-3.1 base.tgz (21842.9KB) from ftp.iij.ad.jp.

machine kernel/ver ftp daemon said SEIKO

1) 040 Mac has a good clock except PowerBook550c.
2) 030 Mac has a slow clock. (why?)
3) It seems that slower 030 has much slower clock.
4) Not only in 3.1 but also in 1.6, maybe since more before ?

NOTE:
LC475 has MC68040, LC III+ has MC68882.
PB165(No FPU) has 1.6G kernel for DaynaPORT SCSI/Link-T.
Classic II, LC II has MC68882 and Cabletron EA412.

Cabletron EA412 got crazily slow time in this test,
because the kernel is not good for it. EA412 is almost
same as DaynaPORT SCSI/Link-T with suitable setting.
