I am using a Xmac68k_color server on a

NetBSD 3.1_RC4 (FG54) #1: Sun Oct 22 02:05:52 CEST 2006
      hauke@q700:/usr/src/sys/arch/mac68k/compile/FG54
Apple Macintosh Quadra 700 (68040)
cpu: delay factor 1056
total memory = 69632 KB
avail memory = 64736 KB

with the netbsd-3 X11, and I have yet to see any problems (apart from
messing up X11 client authentication during the upgrade, which was entirely
my own brain fart. I learned something in the process...).

So there is no general issue with combining that older X11 server and
current /rather, netbsd-3) X11.
