The latter is K_Bytes_.

Don't underestimate the little boxes: I've had a IIci (+ cache-card)
running with two 8390 enet cards as an ADSL router (768/128), and it kept
up with the data rate in spite of the ipfilter rules. A Quadra class
machine should be able to handle 1500/256 or whatever is default these days
just fine.
