Seems fast.  700kbytes per second ftp, about the same nfs.
This is good for 10mbit ethernet.  In fact, since the disk isn't so
fast nfs across the net is almost as fast.

This to a 10/100mbit switch to either a 300mhz x86 or 
300mhz ppc or faster.

Ssh is not so fast :-)
