And I add that on some macs (IIsi, LC.. but I am qoting from memory) other
strange things happen with the ncr driver but not with the SBC. Devices pop
up suddenly with multiple LUNs at startup detect with ncr and not SBC and
similar problems...

for me it is always black-magic and maybe the two drivers should be
revised/merged and perhaps updated.
