Hi,

Well, it crashes on the other LC040 I upgraded as well. Could someone
with a real 040 mind trying this with the non softfloat build?
Thanks!

Everything works fine choosing the upgrade option until the untar of
the .tgz files.

The kernel untars fine
base.tgz is fine
etc.tgz is fine.

Then the postinstall command runs and removes some files. Most of
them seem to be postfix ones. sysinst gets an illegal instruction and
partially core dumps, but, since / is a small file system the core is
incomplete.

Recovery seems to be:

stty sane
umount /targetroot
rm ./sysinst.core
./sysinst

and repeat the upgrade then all seems fine.

Until the .tar files from this past weekend this has worked for all
previous 2.0 beta upgrades.

cheers

bruce
