No, just that I specify it in the booter. The serial console works ok 
- all the boot stuff up to the line

adb0

gets put on the serial console, just as with 1.5.3

Not until I get it to boot, which is the problem in the first place!
No way to create a custom 030 kernel for 1.6

When I installed 1.5, I had a lot of trouble because ttyE0 was 
enabled, so it wouldn't let me boot onto the serial console.
It should be in the archives under "The install from hell"

The only reason I suspect this is because, at the point it hangs it 
has ALREADY done the "adb0 at obio0", so it sounds confused. (So do 
I, I suppose!)
