Hmm. I wonder what is the smallest or earliest system people are using.

I'm using a 7.1.1 mini-system (I think, last time I checked) installed
on the hd. After booting it has around a 1050K footprint. 

Hey, does that ram ever get reclaimed? Or is it lost to us?
