it all compiled just fine now, the adapter is found, the ethernet 
address is fetched correctly, the network is configured, but then i get 
a panic and a debugger prompt because of "no header mbuf" in 
dse_ifstart. i'll look into it, but i would appreciate any ideas you 
might have. and please let me know if you think i'm spamming the list...
