I tried the ulimit command for my bash shell, and it used some VM, but i
still have 100+ MB available.  right now ulimit -a tells me that the limit
for virtual memory is 34816k.  And I cant seem to increase it, does anyone
know the bash syntax for it? the man page is a little unclear
