FWIW, in the Linux world this error is caused by net-tools being 
built with kernel headers which are 'too different' from that of the 
kernel in use. The solution (again, in the Linux world) is to rebuild 
net-tools.

I would assume there is some analogous (if not identical) approach in 
the NetBSD world, but I'm such a NetBSD newbie I wouldn't know for 
sure!
