Hmm, MacOS weirdness ? I have a Q700 running NetBSD 1.5.ZA ( -current from 01/2000 ) starting from german MacOS 8.1and I never saw this.

Hmm, don't really know, the kernel config has options for console defult colors, ymmv.

Well, ppp / slip should work, LocalTalk doesn't.
