I saw that a few years ago, there were some problems with EtherPort IIN
cards that led to their causing the machine to hang when running NetBSD and
OpenBSD. I'm having that problem now. The card is identified "ae0 at
nubus: address xxxxxxxxxxxxx, type EtherPort IIN, 16KB memory". But the
minute that the "starting network" message appears on bootup, the machine
hangs. Is there a fix for that problem, or should I just get a different
kind of card? (My card is a Farallon EtherWave Nubus.)
