i've noticed that if i boot the launcher out of MacOS (7.6?) and then
run netbsd, sometimes the ethernet (sn0) is flakey with either lots of
packet loss, wedging or not working at all.

however, if i launch netscape under MacOS, then browse a page, then launch
netbsd, the ethernet works fine.

some kinda initialization problem?
