Hi There!
I am Aussie, albeit only half... (the better half!!). I currently live in
Montreal, Canada, and grew up in Vienna, Austria.
I run NetBSD 1.4.2 on a Q700 (as well as other installations on PC
machines), and use it to share my DSL connection across my home.
NetBSD has my complete vote of confidence, the uptime is only ever limited
by power outages (can't afford UPCs for those old machines...).
When you do the benchmarking, don't involve your harddisk (eg, ftp some
files to /dev/null or the like), since I find the harddisk is the limiting
factor for my Q700...
Alright, enough spam for the moment,
Richie
