I want to set up IP/NAT so that both my iMac and NetBSD box can use
my DSL router for accessing the Internet. It is a Flowpoint 2200-12,
which is a router rather than a bridge. It has a 4 port Ethernet
10BaseT hub built in. Currently I am playing with a demo copy of
IPNetRouter for Mac OS which works fine, but is beta software, a
little unstable and costs $89 for a full version. As far as I can
tell, NetBSD should be able to do the same thing.

I am using a Quadra 700 with the AAUI Ethernet and an adapter to
convert it to 10BaseT cabling. The iMac handles IP/NAT with a single
Ethernet port and is able to deal with my low-demand two computer LAN
just fine. Can I do this on NetBSD with just the AAUI Ethernet, or
would I have to add a second card?

I have found setup information for BetBSD 1.3 out there on the
various mac68k sites; is this the same for 1.4.2 which I am currently
using?

The setup would diagram like this:

NetBSD ------------------------------->
                                                          Enet
hub/Router --------------> ISP gateway
  Mac OS ------------------------------>

This is the current setup, although Mac OS is providing the IP/NAT
rather than NetBSD.

Thanks for any input!
