Okay, I did that with the

ftp://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD/packages/1.5/mac68k/All/netatalk-umich-19990
130nb1.tgz

package. And got this (good) output:

gellum# pkg_add netatalk-umich-19990130nb1.tgz
Installing configuration files:
  /etc/netatalk/AppleVolumes.default
  /etc/netatalk/AppleVolumes.system
  /etc/netatalk/atalkd.conf
  /etc/netatalk/papd.conf
done.

So far, so good. However, when starting it, as root via:

    atalkd

It seems to all work correctly, but it won't show up in the chooser, and
when trying to re-start it again. I get the following:

    AppleTalk not up!
    Check syslog.

Syslog isn't much help, either...

Thanks for your advises.
