i'd be more than happy to code up the changes, but i can't reach
cvs.netbsd.org until oldpuma is back :-(  *sniff* (do you have an ETA on
that, yet, allen? ;-)  i can't easily test it, tho.  anyone out there with
a french keyboard who can compile their own kernels?
