ah, but i believe that NeXT machines also have ADB devices....of course, i
have no idea how similar the implementation is, tho.  would we still want
dev/apple in this case?  also, i'm not sure if macppc and mac68k can share
the same controller code or not.  from what i remember, the macppc 
controllers are an evolution of the later (CUDA) mac68k controllers, but
i'm not positive about this.
