Hi all,

Every once in a while I get a bunch of messages on my console, while doing
disk intensive tasks like compiling PERL. It says something about Aborted
commands and SCSI Parity Error's. My HD is a 1.05 GB Quantum Fireball. I'm
using the GENERIC Kernel that came in the sets folder. I think it was
called kern.tgz.

Is this a case where i need a special kernel for my quantum? If so, what do
I need to do when compiling my own kernel to fix this problem?

Thanks,

Dave Rogers
